Happy New Year

Hi Everyone,

As 2017 draws to an end I thought I’d take this opportunity to wish you all a very Happy and Prosperous New Year. I hope 2016 was kind to you and 2017 will be even better.

Sadly during 2016 we did lose a whole load of national icons and in the last week of the year it appeared that the Grim Reaper was determined to take more than his fair share of hugely talented people. It had got to the stage that I was scared to turn on the the radio or TV.

On top of that there have been a few, shall we say, political upsets and unfortunately the knock on effects will reverberate on and on.  That said we are on the brink of a New Year and let’s hope things calm down a bit.

So what am I up too? I’m in Torquay at the moment. The photograph at the beginning of this blog is of a particularly spectacular sunset on Thursday evening. Unfortunately it doesn’t do the real thing justice.

I’m editing the third book of the Soulseer Chronicles “Bound” at the moment and I’m in the final throes before sending it back to Jo for what I hope will be her final run through.

I have started something new: in fact I have two new somethings on the go. Which one gets written first will very much depend on whether either of them demands my attention more than the other. I know it sounds bonkers, but in my case it’s true. There have been times when I’ve been desperate to write one thing, but my inner voice refuses to let me. We will see!

So, I will sign off for now. Have a very good New Year’s Eve I’ll be raising a glass this evening to all of you.
